Position: Sr. Medical Physicist

Duration: 1 year contract, up to 3 years extension

Location: 100% Remote, ability to travel to various sites in USA

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr. Medical Physicist to join our dynamic team to support an exciting opportunity with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The VHA will be standing up 5 new Radiation Oncology Treatment Sites & the Sr. Medical Physicist will be responsible for engaging with five new Radiation Oncology sites as needed, to facilitate project progress during the construction, install, and initiation phases until permanent staff are on site.


The Sr. Medical Physicist will be responsible for the below tasks:

  1. Weekly meeting support
  2. National Precision Oncology Program (NPOP) Chief Medical Physicist SME support
  3. Monthly project updates
  4. Manage and facilitate meetings and develop project plans.
  5. Review of facility plans.
  6. Assist with data analysis and abstraction of data related to master national plans.
  7. Assistance with strategic planning and capital asset documentation.
  8. Review blueprints and assist VA medical centers with response to requests from national entities.
  9. Review CRR documents with the sites.
  10. Assist with equipment advice and guidance to provide cutting edge care.
  11. Assist site with master plan for radiation oncology.
  12. Provide subject matter physicist technical expertise on all aspects of program implementation from pre-design through build.


  • Master’s required, PhD preferred
  • 10+ years of experience as Sr. Medical Physicist
  • US Citizenship or Green Card Status Required
