Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and drive operational improvement initiatives within our Revenue Cycle Services department. This role will focus on workflow optimization in preparation for an EHR implementation, with minimal technical build or changes required.
The candidate should have experience in project management, a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma process improvement, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships using high emotional intelligence. This position requires someone who can manage multiple projects effectively, is adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and is comfortable using a variety of project management methodologies such as Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage various projects, including assessing, coordinating, and reporting on the progress and outcomes of confidential and complex initiatives.
- Workflow Optimization: Focus on process improvements and workflow optimization in preparation for the implementation of Epic. Collaborate with teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management: Use high emotional intelligence to understand the dynamics of different teams, identify key influencers, and navigate challenging stakeholder relationships.
- Change Management: Apply proven change management techniques to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of process changes across teams.
- Project Planning and Execution: Utilize PMI.org recognized tools and methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall, etc.) to manage projects effectively, ensuring goals and deadlines are met with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Facilitation: Organize and motivate interdisciplinary teams to accomplish project goals within tight timeframes, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication.
- Documentation: Review, prepare, and maintain project-related documentation to ensure all materials are current and accurate.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in a healthcare setting. Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with a focus on operational improvement and workflow optimization.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional certification is preferred but not required.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, performance improvement methodologies, and various project management frameworks (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitation Skills: Ability to facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and drive team collaboration toward achieving project goals.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to build relationships and promote teamwork within cross-functional teams.
Additional Information:
- Travel Requirements: The role requires on-site presence at our facilities in Indianapolis Monday through Thursday
- Travel to cities around Indiana may be required as well.
