Project Manager (Natural Gas)

6-month Contract-to-Hire

Columbus, OH (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Pay is Commensurate with

Brooksource is hiring a Project Manager who will work on a variety of highly visible projects at an industry leading natural gas and electric utility company. As the Project Manager you will be working on a variety of projects centered around large data and process improvement efforts. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all phases of the project. If you feel that this describes you, keep reading and apply!

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of project management experience in complex organizations
  • Industry experience in Utility, Gas, Power, Energy, or Construction strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving communication (verbal and written), and facilitation / organizational skills.
  • Experience with Change management
  • Experience with Data and Process Improvement focused projects
  • Successful track record of managing multiple projects
  • Strong client facing skills
  • Ability to liaison with multiple teams across the organization
  • Thorough understanding of project management and familiarity with EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop reliable project timelines and deliver against established timelines
  • Possess strong knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
  • Solid project management skills related to project planning and control, scope management, issue and risk management, and quality management.
  • Strong Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Project skills

Responsibilities:

  • Defines and manages the project (s): scope, budget, timelines/project plan, resources, deliverables issues, risks/risk mitigation plans, quality, change control, communication plan, etc.
  • Be a team player and interact with different business units within the company.
  • Be a champion of change and implement change management processes.
  • Anticipates and manages project risk
  • Recommends mitigation and corrective actions
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope
