Medical Device Cleaning Associate

Hours: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd shift

1st shift: 7am-3pm

2nd shift: 3pm-11pm

3rd shift: 11pm-7:30am

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining medical equipment (e.g. infusion pumps, etc)
  • This includes processing, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical supplies and equipment

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess knowledge of medical supply items, decontamination procedures, aseptic techniques, and the operation of sterilization equipment

• Experience in processing, assembling, and sterilizing medical supplies and equipment

• Knowledge of technical names, general uses, physical characteristics, and operating conditions of medical supply items

• Skill in operating washer-sterilizers, ultrasonic instrument cleaners, and gas and steam sterilizers

• Experience working as an operating room technician, medical instrument technician, nursing assistant, corpsman, laboratory worker, or something similar

• Successful completion of 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in courses 

Associates are expected to come on-site and perform updated sterilization protocol for newly installed infusion pumps at NCH Baker and NCH North – both in Naples.
