Senior Validation Engineer

Our client, a global leader in industrial dispensing & flow drill systems, is seeking a Senior Field Service Validation Engineer to provide site support in Auburn Hills & New Hudson, MI to K-Flow drill & Machine Vision systems as part of their Global Service Department. In this role, you will leverage your experience in adhesive dispensing technology & field service in the EV/ Motor Vehicle Industry to provide advanced support to a growing field.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Drive the installation & commissioning of IAS systems at site locations
  • Optimize hardware & software functionality of customer applications
  • Provide technical support to customers & associates globally
  • Provide documentation & logging of process optimization for onsite actions
  • Plan & execute the conversion of existing systems to newly developed technology & improve both pre- & post- installed equipment
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Team Lead Service, & R&D
  • 80% travel globally (covered by company)

Required skills:

  • State-certified technician or Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics. Etc.)
  • Professional experience as a Field Service Engineer in the automotive industry or as part of Tier 1/2 supply chain company for MVI.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical joining technologies (flow drill fastening & self piercing rivet setting technologies)
  • Hands on experience in adhesive dispensing with vision machine technology
  • Experience with PC/PLC-based controls, sensors, pneumatics, & motion systems
  • Preferred: advanced knowledge in electrical engineering, process measurement & control technology, and CE machine safety & IEEE/OSHA standards
