Job Title: External Communications Analyst

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Contract Duration: 1 year contract  with potential extension

Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented communications professional to support the positioning and promotion of Ethical AI initiatives across internal and external audiences. This role involves monitoring media coverage, refining communication strategies, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders and subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will manage content creation projects, ensure consistency and clarity in messaging, and deliver impactful communication materials aligned with brand standards. Additionally, the role includes facilitating stakeholder engagement opportunities, maintaining strong cross-functional relationships, and providing regular insights on communication effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Monitor and analyze media coverage to refine R&D strategies and improve effectiveness

·      Develop and implement strategies to position Ethical AI internally and externally for key stakeholders and external subject matter experts 

·      Facilitate and deliver commenting opportunities for R&D with key stakeholders and subject matter experts

·      Work across the organization to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts 

·      Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across data science/digital health as well key stakeholders and subject matter experts 

·      Manage content creation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand guidelines.

·      Review and refine communication materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

·      Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in all written content.

·      Collaborate with content creators to enhance the impact and effectiveness of communication materials.

·      Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting the impact of communication efforts.

Required Qualifications:

·      Proven experience in a communications role

·      Strong writing ability

·      Ability to write/comprehend while listening simultaneously

·      Prior experience with executive level communication

·      Ability to handle confidential material with maturity and discretion

·      Capable of communicating in a highly matrixed, politically nuanced environment

·      Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities

·      Strong organizational skills and ability to self-direct

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with public policy, AI regulation, or tech/data ethics
• Familiarity with enterprise-level comms or internal R&D environments
• Ability to work onsite (preferred but not required)
• Prior experience supporting leadership communications or executive updates
