Job Title: Director, Contracting
Client: Large Acedemic Institution
Employment Type: Direct, Full-Time Position

Location: 100% Remote
Job Description:
- Provide operational and contracting leadership
- Manage and support daily operations, and assists the Senior Executive Director in managing the office in regular consultation with other key partners
- Support and assist the School with facilitating agreements and contracts with external entities
- Review and execute sponsored research agreements with private industry, including sponsored research agreements, clinical trial agreements and subcontracts, among others
- Negotiate and execute all (industry, federal or other party) Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs and NDAs) and Data Use Agreements for the School
- Serve as liaison between sponsors and School Faculty
- Ensure all such contracts comply with University policies, laws, and regulations, protect the University against unnecessary risk, and advance the School business and operational interests
- Implement best practices
- Set strategy for the Office
- Lead team meetings
- Advise on School Research Administration operational needs
- Stay abreast of state, federal, institutional and other entities policies, processes, procedures, compliance and regulatory as it relates to research administration contracting
- Prepare and/or contribute to quarterly, annual, and other project update reports
