Job Description: Clinical Pharmacy Systems Analyst (EHR Focused)
Location: Remote
Pay: DoE
Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Systems Analyst with experience supporting clinical electronic healthcare systems, preferably in a pharmacy-related context. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Health Information Systems, a clinical or pharmacy operations background, and experience providing technical and workflow support across a range of EHR platforms, with a preference for Meditech, Epic, or Cerner. This role will support optimization and configuration of pharmacy modules, as well as internal and client-facing documentation and training efforts.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day support for pharmacy systems and related clinical applications within the EHR.
· Participate in the installation, testing, and configuration of clinical healthcare systems.
· Assimilate client feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive culture change with approval from leadership.
· Advise on optimal system workflows and functionalities based on professional experience.
· Develop internal and external documentation for training, support, and project initiatives.
· Share knowledge with peers through Peer-to-Peer training and collaborative problem solving.
· Drive communication with clients to ensure alignment on best practices, timelines, deliverables, and risks.
· Participate in strategic planning and project scoping, including statements of work and timeline development.
· Incorporate lessons learned into ongoing methodology and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
· Experience with clinical healthcare systems (EHR installation, support, or optimization).
· Working knowledge of Health Information Systems (Meditech, Epic, Cerner, or equivalent).
Preferred:
· Background in pharmacy or clinical operations.
· Experience supporting pharmacy module workflows in Meditech, Epic, or Cerner.
· Prior involvement in strategic planning, process improvement, or project management initiatives.
· Familiarity with tools such as Zynx, First Databank, or clinical decision support systems.
· Clinical background (RN, PharmD, NP, etc.)
· Familiarity with CPOE workflows and medication ordering processes
