Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst with strong experience in EHR and revenue cycle management (RCM). This individual will collaborate with business and functional SMEs across project work groups to support system design, implementation, and optimization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for data collection, system design, and solution implementation.
- Act as liaison between the organization and vendors, supporting site visits, deliverables, and design decisions.
- Develop policies, procedures, workflows, and training documentation to support system adoption.
- Create and execute test scripts, validate requirements, and support integration testing and go-live activities.
- Provide troubleshooting, end-user support, and post-go-live solution assistance.
- Facilitate project meetings, conference calls, and status reporting; document outcomes and action items.
- Assist with database auditing and data migration for history uploads.
- Support project initiation tasks (RFPs, SOWs, Agile tool management) and collaborate with vendor teams.
- Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as Visio, SharePoint, Teams, and MS Office.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years in healthcare IT, clinical, research, or financial settings.
- 3+ years’ experience working with EHR applications (Cerner Millennium / Oracle Health preferred).
- Strong knowledge of clinically driven revenue cycle, relational databases (SQL), SDLC methodologies, and change management practices.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and familiarity with programming languages (Java, CCL a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
- Experience with Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile project management methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, IT, IS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
