Auditing/Coding Specialist – Remote

6-Month Contract-To-Hire

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

  • +5 years of experience in a Physican Coding Environment
  • Someone who has multispecialty coding experience. Complex Surgery, Cardiology, Radiology, Infection Disease, etc. Prioritize Complex Surgery and Cardiology if lacking other specialties.
  • Certifications: CPC and CPMA required or AHIMAs equivalent.
  • EMR experience – EPIC is preferred but NO paper charts.
  • Presentation Skills – for presenting data in coding meetings.
  • Cannot being working at another job unless its overnight hours – No exceptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in Works Queues – Epic, Claims Edit, Denial work queues.
  • Review 5 charts per coder.
  • Handle any rebuttals that come through, 1 day turnaround time is expected.
  • Educate coders on improvement methods to get to a 95% consistency, monthly.
  • Write articles for their newsletter
  • Present data during coding meetings via a power point
  • All other duties as assigned
